Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Laundry Attendant to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all linens, towels, and guest laundry are cleaned, organized, and maintained to the highest standards. This role is vital in providing guests with a clean and comfortable environment, contributing to the overall guest experience. Previous hotel experience, familiarity with laundry processes, and attention to detail are highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Operate commercial laundry equipment efficiently and safely to wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and guest clothing
- Sort laundry items according to color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area at all times
- Ensure timely processing of laundry to meet hotel operational needs
- Follow proper safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies and report shortages as needed
- Collaborate with housekeeping staff to ensure linen availability aligns with guest room schedules
Requirements
- Prior hotel or hospitality experience is preferred
- Knowledge of laundry procedures and cleaning techniques is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and reliability
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
- Basic understanding of safety protocols related to cleaning chemicals and equipment
Pay: From $18.10 per hour
