At Tenaxx Logistics Ltd. , we take pride in delivering reliable transportation solutions with a strong commitment to safety and compliance. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated Safety Coordinator to oversee truck driver safety, regulatory compliance, and fleet maintenance standards. This role is vital in ensuring our operations run safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and enforce DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA safety standards across all operations
- Conduct new driver onboarding, safety orientations, and ongoing training
- Track Hours of Service (HOS) and ensure ELD compliance
- Perform regular audits of driver logs, vehicle inspection reports, and maintenance records
- Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and follow up on repairs with the fleet team
- Investigate vehicle accidents, incidents, and near-misses; document findings and corrective actions
- Maintain driver qualification files, drug/alcohol testing records, and safety performance history
- Serve as the point of contact for regulatory inspections, audits, and compliance reviews
- Promote a proactive safety culture and act as a resource for drivers and fleet staff
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Transportation, or related field preferred
- Working knowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations
- Familiarity with ELD systems and fleet maintenance software (e.g., Samsara, KeepTruckin, Fleetio, etc.) - preferred
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Safety certifications are a bonus.
