Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Overnight Housekeeper to join our team at Vistamere Retirement Residence. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout our facility during night hours. This position ensures that our residence remains a comfortable and clean environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Perform thorough cleaning and sanitizing of common areas, resident rooms, bathrooms, dining areas, and other facilities.
- Trash Management: Collect and dispose of trash and recycling materials in accordance with established guidelines.
- Inventory Maintenance: Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.
- Safety Standards: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Resident Interaction: Provide friendly and respectful service to residents, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and care.
- Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with other staff members to ensure efficient operations and maintain a supportive environment.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous housekeeping experience, preferably in a healthcare or retirement setting, is an asset.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Availability: Must be available to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Communication: Effective communication skills and a respectful attitude towards residents and colleagues.
