Description:
NuBuild Inc. is looking for an experienced Hydrovac Operator to work on our projects, must have a thorough understanding of truck and equipment and safe operating procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the successful completion of hydro excavation projects including: utility line exposure, debris removal, slot trenching and digging, excavation of sensitive underground piping and cables.
- Operate Hydrovac trucks and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
- Set up and inspect grounding and/or bonding procedures for Hydrovac operation.
- Ensure all Hydrovac truck equipment and components are in good working condition at all times. Perform pre and post trip inspections, follow company policies and procedures for routine maintenance, perform general housekeeping to ensure units are operating properly. Report any deficiencies to the manager.
- Maintain and use appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Must be able to: walk, bend, and lift up to 75 pounds.
- Excavate, backfill and compact earth
- Possibly operate small power tools (e.g. compaction jumping jacks, cut saws, air compressors and generators)
- Must attend and participate in all required safety training programs
- Must identify all unsafe working conditions and not proceed with work if it endangers the technician, other workers, customers and/or the general public
- Must participate in all Health and Safety efforts
- Will set up and work safely on high traffic roads according to Book 7 standards
- Will work in all weather conditions, day, night, or weekends with possible overnight stays
- Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- DZ driver's license
- 1-3 Years of hydrovac operating experience
- Clean driver's abstract
- Being able to operate heavy equipment (Mini Backhoe, Trencher, Winch, etc.) is an asset
- Must be responsible to maintain a fit condition to bend, kneel and climb
- Must have the dexterity to use hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers, wrenches, pliers, side cutters, etc.)
- Must have the flexibility to work in restricted and tight spaces
- Must be able to ensure that deadlines are met to satisfy customer needs
- Must be able to apply due diligence ensuring accuracy in preparing and promptly completing all necessary documentation including purchase requisitions and timesheets
- Must be well organized and be able to work well individually and as part of a team
Working Environment:
- Exposure to outdoor elements
- Dusty, dirty, noisy work sites

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
