NDT Technician & Weld Inspector

Norwest Precision Ltd. is seeking a qualified NDT Technician & Weld Inspector to join our team at our facility in North York, Ontario.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform LPI, MPI, UT, FPI and other non-destructive tests.
- Perform visual inspections of welded assemblies and fabricated components.
- Verify weld quality, dimensions, and compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
- Review and produce inspection reports, and quality documentation.
- Identify and document welding and material defects and non-conformances.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards, codes, and company quality requirements.
- Coordinate with welders, supervisors, and quality personnel to resolve quality issues.
- Maintain accurate inspection records and prepare inspection reports.
- Participate in quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Certified as a CGSB Level II in LPI, MPI and other testing
- Certification as a Welding Inspector (CWB Level 1/2, AWS CWI, or equivalent preferred).
- Experience inspecting structural steel welded products.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, welding symbols, and specifications.
- Knowledge of welding processes, welding procedures, and quality control practices an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
- Proficiency with measuring and inspection tools including micrometers and verniers an asset.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with NDT methods such as MT, PT, UT, FPI or RT.
- Familiarity with CSA, AWS, ASME, or other applicable welding codes.
- Familiarity with welding codes, testing, etc. an asset.

Pay: $21.87-$55.00 per hour
