Prepare monthly journal entries related to inventory additions/transfers/depletion manually
Review JEs carefully for anomalies and other inconsistencies
Classify costs and inventory-finished goods valuation accurately
Establish standard costs and update them as appropriate, including direct labour
Compare the established standard costs to actual production costs and variance analysis
Analyze costs of raw materials and other supplies and create cost-benefit analysis
Conduct inventory levels/reserve analysis on a monthly basis
Prepare other monthly and quarterly reports and KPI’s for inventory
Review inventory listing for discontinued or to be discontinued items quarterly
Review rates of depreciation, labor and overhead and suggest policy changes to improve numbers
Identify and resolve any discrepancies for inventory between ERP and Accounting software
Review internal control on all accounting processes for inventory
Assist physical inventories and monitors cycle counts
Reconciles finished goods inventories on a monthly basis
Prepare sales quotation based on standard costs and margin analysis
Prepare year-end working paper for the auditors
Support Accounting team with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required
Other duties assigned

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field, and a CPA designation
Experience in a computerized and fast paced environment.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in full cycle accounting and cost accounting
Strong Excel skills, and proficiency in Adagio Accounting Software is an asset
Detail-oriented and with strong communication, organizational and time management skills
Able to roll-up sleeves and work collaboratively with others at all levels of the company
Ability to think creatively, highly driven and self-motivated
Previous experience in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical or natural health products industry is a bonus.
