Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Farm Hand/Labourer to join our agricultural team. This role involves hands-on work in maintaining and operating farm equipment, supporting crop production, and ensuring the smooth daily operations of the farm. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a willingness to perform a variety of tasks related to farm maintenance and crop care.
Duties
- Assist with harvesting crops using appropriate tools and machinery
- Operate farm machinery such as tractors, augers, combines and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and farm infrastructure, including minor repairs and cleaning
- Assist with spraying, and other pest control activities
- Support general farm upkeep including fencing, building repairs, and landscape maintenance
- Heavy lifting of supplies, and equipment as needed throughout the workday
- Cleaning and power washing machinery
- Follow safety protocols when operating power tools and heavy machinery
Skills
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting and maintaining farm equipment
- Ability to operate farm machinery and power tools safely
- Knowledge of basic maintenance procedures for farm infrastructure
- Familiarity with hand tools for various agricultural tasks
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to farming
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of manual labor
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely in accordance with safety guidelines
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety standards
- Willingness to learn and follow directions in detail
- Punctual, with a positive attitude
This position will likely begin mid August and continue until for 2-3 months. There is potential for this position to turn into full time, year round employment for the right candidate.

Pay: $18.00-$30.00 per hour
