SaskEnergy is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team. The Manager, Planning & Dispatch is responsible for delivery of SaskEnergy’s provincial dispatch function which includes scheduling, triaging, and real-time dispatching of work to the company’s frontline operations workforce, as well as 24/7 safety service call handling. This includes regular coordination with operations and work planning groups to ensure the effective application of assigned financial and team resources to achieve operational service delivery goals.
Manage dispatch center performance and quality to deliver on business unit targets and objectives for operational excellence, customer experience, and employee engagement.
Responsible for after-hours 24/7 dispatch function, ensuring integrity of business continuity and escalation processes within the dispatch center.
Manage staff performance and engagement, provide coaching to develop assigned staff, and ensure a link between strategic plans and employee roles and contributions.
Direct the activities of provincial field service staff and maintain alignment of goals with the local area management responsible for direct supervision of those staff throughout the province.
Provide direction to local area managers in terms of business priorities for field service work and capacity allocation.
Develop and operate consistent practices to support the effective routing of field service operations to work activities in a manner that balances the organizational goals of operational excellence and customer experience.
Maintain expertise in the capabilities of SaskEnergy’s work management application and develop recommendations as to how the organization can achieve their business objectives through effective use of the application’s capabilities.
Deal directly with customers and SaskEnergy’s business partners to ensure daily customer commitments are met, interacting on escalations to maintain customer satisfaction.
Work as part of a wider management team to identify opportunities, develop requirements, implement changes within the work management application, and train staff on regular system and process changes.
Responsible for sound financial control within area of responsibility by contributing to the development of annual budgets, monitoring performance, and taking actions as appropriate.
