BC Muslim School (BCMS) is seeking a passionate, energetic, and qualified Female Physical Education Teacher to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop healthy lifestyles, physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship while fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Physical Education lesson plans aligned with the BC Curriculum.
- Provide instruction in a variety of physical activities, sports, and fitness programs.
- Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Assess student learning and physical development and provide regular feedback.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessment, and progress.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student success and school initiatives.
- Organize and supervise school sports teams, tournaments, and extracurricular athletic activities.
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, and healthy living habits.
- Uphold school policies and contribute positively to the school community.
Qualifications- Bachelor of Education degree from a recognized Canadian university.
- Valid BC Teaching Certificate or a valid teaching certificate from a Canadian province (or proof of eligibility/in process).
- Specialization or experience in Physical Education is preferred.
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Knowledge of the BC Curriculum.
- Experience teaching middle school students is an asset.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional team.
- Respect for Islamic values, culture, and the school's mission.
Required Documents- Valid BC Teaching Certificate or proof of certification eligibility.
- Recent Criminal Record Check.
- Official undergraduate and/or graduate transcripts.
- Teaching evaluations (for experienced teachers).
- Two professional reference letters.
