Civil Engineer
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and managing a variety of civil engineering projects while ensuring compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed engineering designs and technical drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and other drafting software.
Perform construction estimating and cost analysis to support project planning and budget management.
Utilize GIS applications, including ArcGIS and HEC-RAS, for spatial analysis, hydrologic modeling, and infrastructure design.
Conduct construction inspections to ensure projects comply with design specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Develop engineering schematics, layouts, and system designs for civil infrastructure projects.
Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, architects, contractors, and project stakeholders.
Perform engineering calculations and analyses using Mathcad and other engineering tools.
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction documents to support project execution.
Ensure all engineering designs meet applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards while promoting sustainable engineering practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (Master's degree is an asset).
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and other CAD software.
Experience with construction estimating, construction inspection, drafting, and civil infrastructure design.
Familiarity with Bluebeam for document management and collaboration.
Working knowledge of ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, or other GIS and hydraulic modeling software.
Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Mathcad for engineering calculations.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility for licensure is considered an asset.
