We are hiring a Sales Estimator/Project Manager in Abbotsford, BC. This role offers a unique opportunity to be involved from early client engagement and estimating through to field execution and project close-out. Duties & Responsibilities:
Sales, Estimating & Business Development

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to drive repeat business and referrals.

Generate new leads and pursue upcoming opportunities with both new and existing customers.

Collaborate with the Business Development team on marketing and growth strategies for Apex and Pro-Tech.

Review drawings, plans, and specifications to define scope and project requirements.

Develop detailed estimates, proposals, and execution plans (scope, schedule, cost, and resources).
Project Management & Execution

Participate in engineering design reviews, offering constructability and execution feedback.

Work closely with operations and field teams to ensure plans are practical and executable.

Lead projects from pre-bid walkthroughs through commissioning and close-out.

Manage scope, schedule, and cost while ensuring any changes are properly documented and approved.

Maintain proactive, clear communication with clients and internal stakeholders.

Support and motivate project teams, taking accountability for performance and results.
Leadership & Strategy

Contribute to the development and execution of company strategy.

Lead by example, fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Help drive a culture of safety, integrity, and operational excellence.
Qualifications & Skills:
-
3+ years of work experience in sales/business development, engineering, construction, heavy-haul transportation, or other related technical field with increasing levels of responsibility and development is preferred.

3 years’ experience as an Estimator or Project Manager in the Industrial Construction or Heavy-Haul transportation sectors is as asset.

Estimating and business development experience, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset is an asset.

Proficient with MS Office Software (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Ability to work independently and as a team player.
Compensation:
The role is a permanent, full-time position with a typical salary range of $85,000-125,000 per annum. The starting salary will be based on the successful candidate’s competencies, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and experience.
