Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Awake Overnight Support Worker to provide high-quality care in a residential or healthcare setting. This role involves assisting individuals with various needs during overnight hours, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care, working with individuals with disabilities, or related caregiving fields. Duties
- Monitor residents or clients throughout the overnight shift to ensure safety and well-being
- Assist with personal care tasks such as hygiene, mobility, and medication reminders
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and medical terminology
- Respond promptly to emergencies or health concerns, including potential dementia or hospice-related issues
- Provide meal preparation and light cleaning to maintain a safe and comfortable environment
- Support clients with activities of daily living, including mobility assistance and case management as needed
- Document observations, incidents, and care provided in accordance with facility policies
- Collaborate with nursing staff or medical professionals regarding patient care plans and medication administration
Qualifications
- Prior experience in nursing home settings, assisted living, home care, or hospice care preferred
- Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, and working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and perform physical tasks associated with patient care and mobility support
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medication administration, and case management practices is advantageous
- Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to obtain relevant certifications is preferred
- Ability to work overnight shifts reliably and responsibly in a compassionate manner
Pay: $17.00-$24.00 per hour
