Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Kitchen Helper/Cook to join our food service team. This role is essential in supporting the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring efficient meal preparation, food safety, and excellent service to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, experience in food handling, and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Support cooking activities, including basic cooking tasks and ingredient handling
- Serve food to guests in a courteous and timely manner
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment to ensure food safety standards are met
- Handle food items safely, adhering to proper storage and sanitation procedures
- Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying management of stock needs
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and kitchen operations
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth service flow
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or kitchen environments is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
- Strong understanding of serving procedures and customer service skills
- Ability to handle food safely and maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Basic knowledge of the food industry and meal preparation processes
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various kitchen tasks
- Food handling certification or willingness to obtain certification is a plus

Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour
