Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Governance Manager to oversee and enhance our organizational governance frameworks. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance, managing records, and supporting strategic initiatives through excellent project management and communication skills. This full-time position offers an opportunity to lead governance processes within a dynamic environment, utilizing a broad range of technical and interpersonal skills.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and monitor governance policies and procedures to ensure organizational compliance with applicable laws and standards.
- Manage records, databases, and filing systems using tools such as Microsoft Access, SharePoint, and other document management systems.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook to communicate governance-related information effectively.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items to support leadership decision-making processes.
- Conduct analysis of organizational data to identify risks, opportunities for improvement, and ensure data integrity across platforms.
- Lead projects related to compliance initiatives, process improvements, and organizational change management utilizing project management tools like Microsoft Project.
- Facilitate communication between departments and stakeholders to promote transparency and adherence to governance standards.
- Support procurement activities by assisting with vendor negotiations and maintaining procurement records.
- Provide training and guidance on governance policies to staff members to foster a culture of compliance and accountability.
Requirements
- Proven experience in administrative roles with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Microsoft Access, SharePoint, Microsoft Project, and Windows operating systems.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; bilingual proficiency in French is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience in project management and team coordination.
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in records management, filing systems, negotiation, procurement processes, and customer service is preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team while maintaining high standards of professionalism.
This Governance Manager role is integral to maintaining organizational integrity while supporting strategic growth initiatives through effective governance practices.
Pay: $118,514.94-$125,684.20 per year
