NxStar Systems, a leading steel fabrication/ modular company specializing in custom structural steel and modular building design, is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Draftsperson and Estimator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities:
Correspondence:
Handle email and phone communications with clients, suppliers, and team members.
Estimating:
Review contract documents, drawings, specifications, and site conditions.
Conduct take-offs using tender drawings.
Review supplier and subcontractor quotes for scope compliance and accuracy.
Prepare bid letters detailing scope, materials, and exclusions for approval.
Drafting/Design:
Use AutoCAD/Advance Steel software to create detailed drawings and designs according to project specifications.
Skills Required:
- Ability to operate computer-aided drafting (CAD) software
- Ability to multitask and manage several projects at a time
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, contracts, and regulatory code.
- Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Education:
- High school graduation or equivalent.
