RESPONSIBILITIES

The intern’s primary responsibilities will include analyzing key viability factors for renewable energy projects, such as:
Prospecting and identifying project opportunities: Researching potential sites and assessing their feasibility.
Environmental considerations analysis: Studying environmental impacts and mitigation measures.
Regulatory requirements analysis: Identifying and interpreting applicable regulations.
Energy potential assessment: Analyzing the resource and estimating energy production.
Technology comparison: Evaluating and selecting the most appropriate generation technologies for each site.
Land agreements: Participating in negotiations with public and private landowners.
Site layout design: Contributing to the development of plans for equipment layout, access roads, and collection systems.
Grid interconnection: Analyzing interconnection options and technical requirements.
Market study and competitive analysis: Conducting competitive intelligence and analyzing market trends.
The selected candidate may also be asked to:
Submit various projects as part of calls for proposals;
Develop schedules to track progress across multiple project tasks;
Associate project costs with specific tasks and perform cost analyses;
Communicate with a variety of project stakeholders (government agencies, landowners, consultants, multidisciplinary team, etc.).
REQUIREMENTS

Enrolled in an undergraduate program (2nd year) in mechanical, civil, or electrical engineering, or a related field.
Understanding of renewable energy projects, ideally in wind or solar.
Ability to manage several project files simultaneously and ensure effective document management.
Ability to write reports, memos, and ensure project follow‑up.
Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with CAD and SHP software is an asset.
Autonomous while being an effective team player.
Strong attention to detail and rigor in task execution.
Curiosity and willingness to learn in a rapidly evolving sector.
Occasional travel to project sites (short duration).
Proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written.
Knowledge of English is required for this specific position as Kruger deals with partners across North America and the successful candidate will be required to communicate frequently with them.
