ABOUT THE ROLE
IPECC Industrial is hiring contract Project Managers to support transmission utility capital construction projects in the Edmonton region. This role covers the full project lifecycle across substation upgrades, new builds, transmission line work, and asset replacement programs. You will manage cost, schedule, contracts, HSE, and regulatory deliverables on behalf of the Owner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a portfolio of capital projects from inception through close-out
- Monitor and control project budgets and schedules; complete internal change approvals
- Lead RFP development, tendering, evaluation, and contract administration for goods and services
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, project controls, and construction crews
- Ensure HSE compliance at all phases; support hazard identification and safe work planning
- Maintain project records in Oracle Projects, SharePoint, IVARA, eScheduler, and ProjectWise
- Participate in field kick-offs, walk-downs, and HSE inspections
- Prepare and submit regulatory deliverables and manage records management obligations
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant technical diploma with 10+ years of experience
- 5 to 7 years of project management experience in construction or utility environments
- Experience with utility construction in energized substations; knowledge of safe work practices
- PMP designation is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with Alberta Electric System Operator (AESO) project lifecycle is an asset
- Strong knowledge of PMBOK project management processes
- Experience in major equipment and construction services procurement
- P.Eng. designation (APEGA) is an asset

- WHMIS Worker Education
- Hazard Management
