We are currently recruiting reliable and experienced Snow Plow Drivers to our roster for winter maintenance located in the Town of Ajax. The winter contract ends April 1st, 2027.
You must be DZ or AZ licensed and be able to operate combination snow plows + spreader. Plowing will be done on both main and local roads – no parking lots. This position is not for a person with ½ ton experience doing driveways or parking lots. This is a large heavy CVOR vehicle clearing roads for the Town of Ajax.

Responsibilities
- Safe and efficient operation of spreader, plow wing, to perform snow removal on local roads as per the contract requirements
- Must conduct proper circle checks
- Maintain accurate documentation to complete the necessary paperwork
- Must wear proper PPE
- Familiar with performance requirements and understand route map
What the Role Requires
- Must hold a valid AZ or DZ license, with 5 years proven experience
- Clean CVOR and driver abstract
- The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience operating a plow/salter combination unit – plowing main and local roads
- Must be ON CALL 24/7 for the length of the contract
- Must be within 1 hour travel time of Ajax works yard (Rossland & Salem Rd) for on-call response
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work
- Good understanding of MTO standards
- Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
