Italuxe is seeking skilled and reliable Tile Settersto join our construction team. The ideal candidate has strong experience in tile installation, flooring, and surface preparation. This role involves installing high-quality tile work on residential and commercial projects while ensuring durability, precision, and professional finishes.
The Tile Setter will work closely with other trades and contribute to maintaining Italuxe’s standards for quality craftsmanship.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of tile setting experience
- Valid G driver’s license
- Own vehicle
- Own tools and equipment
- Must be able to work 6 days per week
- Member of LIUNA Local 183
- Willing to travel outside the cityfor certain projects
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Reliable and professional work ethic
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and install tile on floors, walls, backsplashes, and shower systems
- Install large format tile, porcelain, ceramic, and natural stone
- Prepare surfaces including cleaning, leveling, waterproofing, and underlayment
- Perform subfloor preparation and flooring installation
- Use tools such as trowels, cutters, and levelsfor accurate tile placement
- Perform grouting, sealing, caulking, and finishing work
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Follow project timelines and quality standards
Skills
- Proficiency with tile setting hand tools
- Strong knowledge of tile installation techniques
- Ability to read construction drawings
- Experience with surface preparation and waterproofing
- Good physical stamina for lifting materials and working on job sites
- Versatile construction knowledge is considered an asset
