Purpose:

Reporting to the Operations Manager the Student Programs Assistant is responsible for providing timely and efficient administrative and student support to the Digital Media Program (Graduate) and the Integrative Arts Program (Undergraduate) for the Department of Computational Arts. Specific areas of responsibility include program support to the Program Committees and Program Directors, regarding initial inquiries through applications, admissions, registration, scheduling, evaluations, course, grades, convocation, and alumni development.
Education:
College diploma with courses in student affairs, student services or business administration or an equivalent of 2 years recent experience (defined as within the last three years) working at York University and performing the same or similar tasks. This education equivalency is in addition to the experiential requirements outlined below.
Experience:
Two (2) years recent related experience including supporting academic program(s) (i.e. course offerings and course scheduling file, answering program/course inquiries, program/course support).

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.Summer: SamePeak periods: Mid-August to mid-October. January to April, JuneVacation restriction: January, March-April, last week before the first day of fall term class, and September. Vacation may also be restricted due to operational requirements and/or approved staff absences.
