In this energetic role, you will be responsible for serving customers in exceptional manner. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will ensure that every guest has a positive experience while enjoying our wide selection of meats, cheeses, and prepared foods. Responsibilities
- Serve customers in a fast, friendly and efficient manner.
- Handle meats including beef, pork, poultry, veal, elk and bison.
- Perform physical work and stay on your feet throughout the day.
- Work in a cooler/freezer environments.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the deli area, adhering to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Restock shelves, display cases, and cold storage units to ensure product availability and visual appeal
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service by assisting guests with product selections and answering questions about ingredients or dietary needs
- work both independently and as a part of the team
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy, including cash register operations and balancing drawers at shift end
Requirements
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks during busy periods effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and clear communication abilities
- Basic math skills for cash handling, measuring ingredients, and calculating totals or discounts
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast-paced environment
