Job Summary
The Vice President of Sales is responsible for leading the company's sales strategy, driving revenue growth, developing strong customer relationships, and expanding the company's presence in the transportation and logistics industry. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in sales leadership, customer relationship management, business development, and transportation services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company revenue and growth objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the transportation and logistics sector.
- Maintain direct contact with existing and prospective customers to understand their transportation needs and provide customized solutions.
- Build, manage, and strengthen long-term relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Lead negotiations and close major contracts with customers and business partners.
- Oversee the sales team, providing leadership, coaching, and performance management.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Address customer concerns and resolve issues professionally and promptly.
- Develop customer retention strategies and maintain excellent customer relations.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for senior management.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.

- Drive outside sales efforts by establishing relationships with prospective clients and industry stakeholders.
- Negotiate contracts and proposals to secure favorable terms while maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Implement CRM tools such as Salesforce to streamline sales processes, track performance, and generate actionable insights.
- Foster a culture of innovation, teamwork, and professional development within the sales department.
Requirements
- Proven experience in B2B sales, with a focus on technology or technical products preferred.
- Strong background in marketing, customer service, and business development strategies.
- Demonstrated success in outside sales, negotiation, and account management roles.
- Excellent analysis skills to interpret data for strategic decision-making.
- Leadership experience managing large or complex sales teams with a focus on results-driven performance.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop long-term strategic relationships with clients and partners.
