Safety & Compliance Coordinator – Licensing & Permitting

Reports To: Safety & Compliance Manager
Primary Objective:
To assist in the smooth operation of the Safety Department as it pertains to permits, licensing and various other areas relating to safety. Conducts all tasks in accordance with established health and safety policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order, renew and distribute all operating authority permits.
- License/Annual Renewals/Plate Replacements– owner operators, company tractors & trailers. Maintain licensing files for all Mill Creek equipment; update information in TransPlus/Fleet, Isaac, Oscar, Customs and KY
- Request from Insurer certificates of insurance for customers and Owner Operators as certificate holders
- Create permit books for new trucks as needed.
- Gate card access program, Photo ID, distribute and update access for Company Drivers and Owner Operators
- Fuel EFS- order & issue cards, administrator for account, overrides and cash advances as required. Post weekly fuel prices.
- Manage accounts for Bridge cards & Customs transponders.
- Distribute necessary PPE at on boarding and ongoing as required.
- Assist with maintaining driver files in Truck Right
- Participate in On-Boarding of new drivers (responsibilities based on location of driver orientation):
- Owner Operators: IRP, Permits, Communicate w/OO re: plates, WSIB status letter, contract review & signature.
- ALL Drivers: Issue cards, Reference checks, Criminal Search, Truck Right document completion, Set-up in Trans Plus and Isaac, Book Pre-employment Drug & Fitness for Duty tests through Driver Check, monitor Clearinghouse.
- Promote a sound safety culture.
- Provide safety-related support for all departments; to include education, updating on policy changes and tasks specific to safety & compliance.
- Assist in organization of Awards Banquet and Driver Meetings.
- Assist other Safety & Compliance Coordinators (Support and Driver Training) in all job duties as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Post-Secondary education an asset
- Strong Organizational skills
- Excellent computer skills
Pay: $62,000.00-$68,000.00 per year
Experience:
- Similar Role: 2 years (preferred)
