5 years Accounting Experience
3 – 5 Years Payroll Experience
Understanding of accounting principles
Knowledge of Government regulations pertaining to payroll
Knowledge of ESA and impacts to payroll
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and accuracy is crucial
Experienced in MS Outlook, Excel
Experience with accounting systems ie. Simply Accounting, Quick Books or Clients & Profits
Project Accounting is an asset
Knowledge of Construction Industry is an asset
Accounts Receivable
- Review and Verify Work Orders
- Client Set Up and Maintenance
- Project Set Up and Maintenance
- Project Billing, Tracking and Cost Analysis
- Service Call Billing
- Maintaining Accounts Receivable Files and Records
- Investigating and Resolving Any Irregularities or Enquiries
- Producing Sales Tax Report for Monthly HST Remittance
- Liaise with Collections Administrator on Client Late Payment Issues
- Reconcile Work Orders with Invoices
Accounts Payable
- Produce Weekly Vendor Aging Reports and Process Cheque Run
- Enter On-line Payments in Accounting System
- Credit Card Reconciliation and Entry
- Sales Tax, EHT, Corporate Tax, Source Deduction and WSIB Remittance Reporting and Payment
- Garnishment Payouts
Weekly Payroll Processing
- Process Weekly Timesheets and Prepare for Direct Deposit
- Banked Hours Reconciliation and Pay Outs
- RRSP Reconciliation and Monthly Remittance
- Reconciling Garnishments
- Maintaining Employee/New Hire/Termination Files
- Answering Inquiries Pertaining to Payroll
Other General Office Duties and Reception Assistance as Required
