CGI Montréal is looking for a Technical Project Manager to act as a recognized expert in software development. In this role, you will be responsible for actively contributing to the consistency and efficiency of development practices, the evolution of ways of working throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and informed decision-making on strategic, foundational, or highly uncertain initiatives, with the goal of delivering optimal value and ensuring the effective use of resources.

Your future duties and responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic and technical advisor to leadership and management, supporting decision-making related to development practices, technology directions, and key architectural or organizational choices
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and monitoring of strategic technology-related initiatives, including associated reporting and accountability activities
- Analyze complex technical and strategic issues, including situations with a high degree of uncertainty, and formulate recommendations, scenarios, or action plans aligned with business objectives
- Assess the impact of technology decisions on quality, security, performance, technical debt, solution sustainability, and organizational capability
- Contribute to the development, evolution, and alignment of technical standards and development practices across teams and initiatives
- Act as a subject matter expert on projects or special mandates with strategic or cross-functional scope, and support senior advisors and other experts as needed
- Facilitate collaboration and coordination among technical teams, managers, and business stakeholders
- Produce analyses, studies, executive summaries, reports, and presentations to support decision-making, while meeting established deadlines
- Participate in governance, architecture, and practice committees, and contribute to strategic discussions and planning
- Monitor projects and mandates under your responsibility and provide updates to relevant stakeholders based on agreed-upon commitments

- Excellent writing, documentation, and synthesis skills
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional initiatives and mobilize multidisciplinary teams

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is 70 000$ et 135 000$. This role is an existing vacancy.
