Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, assembly, and maintenance of piping systems using various hand tools and welding techniques such as MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate assembly and repairs.
- Support the setup and operation of rigging equipment to lift and position heavy components safely.
- Conduct routine inspections of mechanical systems, identify issues using basic math and measurement tools like calipers, and assist in troubleshooting problems.
- Participate in manufacturing or construction projects by applying mechanical knowledge to assemble or disassemble equipment according to specifications.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety protocols related to plumbing, HVAC systems, welding, and general construction activities.
- Collaborate with experienced pipefitters and millwrights to learn best practices in maintenance, schematics interpretation, and system upgrades.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or coursework in mechanical trades is a plus.
- Basic understanding of hand tools, measuring devices such as calipers, and fundamental math skills.
- Willingness to learn welding techniques including MIG and TIG welding under supervision.
- Interest or experience in HVAC systems, plumbing, rigging, or manufacturing environments preferred.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, or technical drawings accurately.
- Mechanical aptitude with a strong desire to develop skills in maintenance and construction trades.
- Good physical condition with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks safely.
