Rock Iron Contracting is seeking a competent, seasonal, Screedman to work with our commercial class paving division. Wage will be negotiated based on experience and skill.
Successful candidates will be expected to conduct a variety of job tasks within the paving scope as needed, such as operating multiple pieces of equipment, layout and assisting ground crew with labour tasks.
Experience with multiple pieces of paving equipment such as rollers and skidsteer will be considered an asset.
Job Duties and Responsibilities Include
- · Operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner
- · Conducting Pre-operational checks of equipment
- · Lubrication and basic daily maintenance
- · Adhering to all company and legislative safety requirements
- · Arrive on time and be fit for work every scheduled shift
- · Assist ground crew with labour duties as necessary
Experience
A minimum of 3-5 years will be required for this position. Anything less will not be considered
Transportation
Own transportation is required as some work sites may not be accessible by public transportation
Language
English is required for communication
