- Coordinate daily food preparation, production and meal service.
- Ensure meals are prepared according to approved menus, recipes and portion standards.
- Monitor food quality, taste, presentation and serving temperatures.
- Ensure meals and snacks are prepared and served on schedule.
- Assign daily duties and adjust staffing responsibilities when operational needs change.
- Maintain adequate food and supply levels and communicate ordering requirements.
- Reduce food waste through proper production planning, storage and portion control.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is used safely and report maintenance concerns promptly.
