We are looking for someone who has a passion to take the lead in creating comprehensive end-to-end detailed solutions with an overall accountability for the technical design (including documentation and communication) of our large-scale, complex and enterprise projects. There are additional accountabilities for programming deliverables and providing solution options that have a focus on costs and future business needs.
What can you expect in this role?
Advance development and design practices through processes and tools, setting development and design standards for a specific business unit or at the enterprise level
Provide complex application development and support, including programming and integration code
Provide deep subject matter expertise and define future direction in one or more technical areas or lead strategic development efforts
Provide technical leadership and coaching to Technology Solutions (TS) team members and guidance to senior management on complex projects representing the business needs
Apply industry standards and technical expertise to provide sound solutions that increase business results and/or minimize business and technical risk
Consult with business partners and project teams on all aspects of software development and integration ensuring solutions adhere to design principles and standards
Contribute to the development of project plans by providing input and manage project estimates, communicating project status to business and management and providing timely escalation of issues
Act as an expert resource providing insight and recommendations based on industry and technology trends, technology strategy and experience and share direction and learnings with team members
Consult and coordinate with the Architecture team to ensure design and solution alignment to Technology Strategy, Standards and Reference Architectures
Act as Subject Matter Expert in several areas of discipline and consult with business partners and project teams on all aspects of research, analysis, design, hardware/software support and development of technical solutions and overall project delivery
What do you bring to the role?
An undergraduate degree or college diploma in computer science, information systems or a related discipline
8+ years of experience in software development
5+ years of Java/J2EE development experience including frameworks like Struts, Spring and Hibernate in a Technical Lead capacity
Experience developing webservice function using JAX-RS, Sprint, Rest or other webservice technology
Understanding of microservice architecture
Experience in developing applications utilizing Enterprise Service Bus.
Agile (Scrum) experience
Proven track record of working independently on delivery and provides technical guidance to team members on multiple activities, including design and support of the technical business solutions and resolution of issues across several areas of expertise
