Join our field team in Kelowna!
Care Systems is looking for a Red Seal Electrical Journeyperson to join our field team. This position serves the Kelowna area and surrounding regions, with a minimum of 25% travel to local and out-of-town job sites.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of post-journeyperson experience, with preference given to applicants with Master Electrician status or proven supervisory experience leading crews and managing field operations.
Compensation
$40.00–$44.00 per hour
Our compensation approach is based on role responsibilities, qualifications, experience, internal equity and relevant market considerations.
What You’ll Do
- Install, maintain and repair control systems in commercial and light industrial environments
- Provide hands-on leadership to field crews and oversee daily project operations from start to finish
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Mentor and guide apprentices through conduit installation and wire pulling, ensuring work meets code while personally handling complex runs
- Troubleshoot and diagnose control systems
- Follow all safety protocols and applicable electrical codes
- Work collaboratively with our experienced team on a variety of projects
What We’re Looking For
- Must possess a valid Interprovincial Red Seal Electrical qualification; a valid Technical Safety BC Field Safety Representative (FSR) Class A or B certification is highly desirable
- Minimum 5 years of post-journeyperson experience
- Valid BC Driver’s License and clean Driver’s Abstract
- Strong communication, teamwork and safety focus
- Experience with building automation or HVAC systems is an asset
Work Schedule
- Four 10-hour days per week
- Schedule may vary based on project and operational requirements
