Network Infrastructure Specialist
Location: National Capital Region (Hybrid/On-Site as Required)
Security Clearance: Minimum valid Secret clearance or Top Secret Clearance Required
Contract Duration: 5 Years + 5-Year Option Period (Up to 10 Years Total)

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and modify operational procedures and network and configuration documentation as needed.
- Develop build guides for new systems
- Respond to incidents and tickets
- Physical installation and cabling of switching infrastructure;
- Provide support and maintenance of routing and switching infrastructure on the networks;
- Modify and prepare operational procedures, network and configuration documentation as needed.
- Provide mentoring and training to employees where applicable.
- Provide input and design considerations on various networking projects according to their expertise.
- Provide regular and timely updates, status of tasks to the unit head verbally and in written format
- Participate in any assigned projects and strategic planning activities.
Senior Network Infrastructure Specialist
- University undergraduate degree or diploma or Ten (10) years of progressive experience in IT.
- A Minimum of five (5) years current experience (within the last 10 years) Designing, supporting and troubleshooting physical networking infrastructure.
- Experience within the last 7 years in designing, maintaining, supporting or deploying Extreme/Avaya Fabric Network.
- Experience within the last 7 years in Developing, supporting and deploying routers and switches in an organization with security constraints/requirements.
- Experience within the last 7 years in maintaining, supporting and deploying Firewalls.
- Experience within the last 7 years in developing, supporting and deploying Virtual private network (VPN) solutions.
- Experience within the last 7 years maintaining, supporting and deploying software defined networks (SDN).
- Experience within the last 7 years creating, updating and maintaining technical documentation and network diagrams.
- Experience within the last 7 years developing, deploying and supporting a Wide Area Network (WAN).
- Experience within the last 7 years developing, deploying and supporting an Enterprise Network Access Control (NAC) solution (SDN).
- Experience within the last 5 years creating, updating and maintaining technical documentation and network diagrams.
- Experience within the last 5 years developing, deploying and supporting a Wide Area Network (WAN).
- Experience within the last 5 years developing, deploying and supporting an Enterprise Network Access Control (NAC) solution.
