Overview
Seafair Animal Clinic and Ironwood Animal Hospital are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join our reputable veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal health and welfare, along with excellent clinical skills. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations of animals to assess health status
- Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions in small animals
- Perform surgical procedures, including spaying, neutering, soft tissue surgeries, COHAT's ect
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs
- Educate pet owners on preventive care, nutrition, and wellness strategies
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with veterinary standards
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care
- Recommend laboratory testing and interpret results to inform diagnoses and treatments
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution
- Valid veterinary license to practice in the province of BC
- Strong communication skills for effective client interactions and team collaboration
- Compassionate approach towards animals and their owners
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with veterinary advancements
Pay: $85,000.00-$175,000.00 per year
