We are currently seeking a maintenance technician to support our production operations in our facility in Toronto. The candidate will be responsible for all machinery maintenance in the IML department and troubleshoot problems in an efficient manner. Furthermore, the candidate must be mechanically inclined and have strong problem solving and analytical skills. The candidate must also be able to be flexible in regards to the schedule in order to be present during emergencies.
Job Responsibilities:
· Ensure proper operation of all equipment and machinery.
· Troubleshoots machinery and automation failures as necessary. This includes but is not limited to, case erectors, fillers, palletizers, conveyors, motor control devices, control panels, PLCs, input sensing devices such as limit switches and photosensors.
· Ensure that maintenance or repair of Production Equipment, Site Facilities, Systems and Utilities are carried out in a timely manner.
· Perform activities to comprehend industrial computer controls.
· Learning all equipment operations and maintenance in all areas on the shop floor.
· Utilizing equipment and operational manuals to repair and/or modify all facility equipment.
· Conduct regular inspections and filing out maintenance reports.
· Observing and ensuring compliance with all health and safety policies.
Qualifications:
· College Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
· 1-3 years of related experience in machinery maintenance.
· Experience with Injection Molding machines is considered a huge asset.
· Experience with PLC programming is a plus.
· Great team player to achieve all outcomes
· Must have strong communication and analytical skills.
· Flexible with any shifts to perform maintenance is a plus.
. Communication in Chinese is an asset.
· Strong troubleshooting skills is a must
Less experience will be considered as Maintenance Assistant.
