The Beedie Family Office has been established to meet the investment, estate planning, philanthropic, lifestyle and tax service needs of the Beedie family. The Beedie Family Office maintains close connections with the core operating group; however, is guided by a distinct set of family goals and visions that extend past real estate operations, largely with a view of diversifying core asset holdings and income streams in order to meet its specific objectives.
This role will provide support for the Family Office by managing daily accounting tasks and projects as needed. One of the key responsibilities will be to provide accounting support to a Beedie owned restaurant. You will be part of a team of professionals and will work closely with the Senior Accountant and other key members of the team.

Perform full cycle accounting for a Beedie owned restaurant entity

Perform various bookkeeping functions for other Beedie owned businesses
- Processing and maintaining the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable for various entities

Perform bank and other general ledger account reconciliations
- Assist with treasury function such as online banking, bank deposits, cash balance monitoring and projections
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and other management reporting

Preparation of tax compliance requirements, including GST, PST, corporate, charity, trust and individual tax returns

Liaise with various family members and other Family Office team members to assist as needed

Other general office administration, special project and accounting duties, as required

A minimum of 1 years of relevant work experience

Completion of an accounting diploma or equivalent

Service oriented with a positive and can-do attitude
- Proficient in an accounting software: Quickbooks, Yardi, or other

Proficient in MS Office package, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Exposure to Tax software: Taxprep, iFirm, or other
- Have exceptional interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with a natural tendency for collaboration

Organized self-starter, able to problem solve and work well independently and collaboratively within a team environment

Able to prioritize multiple competing tasks with a strong attention to detail
