Main Purpose of the Job:
As a Deli Manager, you will be responsible for customer service and providing excellent quality of deli products. This includes knowledge of deli products, cheese, and ability to learn about Cataldi Fresh Market Inc. Deli ingredients. You are responsible for maintaining a positive and productive work environment, while communicating to ensure all customers are greeted positively in an open and clear manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing responsive, exceptional service to deli counter, customers by answering questions, asking recommendations, providing samples and responding to requests
- Recommending, slicing, weighing packaging, and pricing meats and cheeses
- Preparing special orders and party trays
- Updating displays, cases, and other customer-facing areas to ensure new items and promotions are showcased
- Ensuring that work areas are ready to serve customers by cleaning surfaces, equipment, and floors, removing trash and confirming that tools are in working order
- Following all food safety and sanitation procedures established by company and other regulatory agencies
- Cooperating with others to ensure customer satisfaction
- Help customers locate, elect, and buy products
- They respond to customer queries related to product and pricing, distribute product samples and package the purchased items
- Stock and organize displays
- Weigh and label items so they are ready for billing/purchasing
- Keep the store and your area clean, as well as your tools
- Provide assistance to other staff in following food safety and hygiene procedures set up by Cataldi Fresh Market Inc.
- Other duties commensurate with this position as communicated by Management from time-to time.
- Receive and place deliveries in allocated fridge or freezer as well as rotating products based on best before dates
- Lift full wheels of cheese or deli meats as required
- Participate in periodic inventory counts
Working Conditions:
Must be required to lift up to 50 lbs
May be required to stand for long periods of time
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
