Reporting to the Plasma Systems Business Unit Director, the incumbent will be responsible for driving business growth and commercial development activities across the United States. The successful candidate will identify, develop, and secure strategic opportunities related to advanced plasma systems, materials engineering solutions, and high-technology equipment serving the aerospace, defense, energy, advanced materials, and research sectors.
Responsabilities :
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within target markets;
- Own and actively manage the sales pipeline to achieve growth objectives;
- Lead and close strategic, high-value opportunities involving complex sales cycles;
- Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers, engineers, scientists, program managers, and senior executives;
- Coordinate with technical and operational teams to develop competitive technical and commercial proposals;
- Represent Tekna at industry conferences, trade shows, and strategic networking events;
- Prepare accurate reports and provide timely updates on commercial activities;
- Maintain all sales and business development tools, including CRM, forecasting systems, market intelligence, and strategic initiatives;
- Contribute to the development and execution of Tekna’s U.S. commercial strategy;
- Prepare, present, and achieve sales budgets and targets;
- Ensure an outstanding customer experience through responsiveness, professionalism, and service excellence;
- Promote and uphold Tekna’s culture, values, and reputation with customers, partners, suppliers, and employees;
- Demonstrate leadership, initiative, and problem-solving skills in addressing business challenges and opportunities.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Physics Engineering, or a related discipline;
- Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in business development, technical sales, account management, and complex opportunity management;
- Proven success selling advanced industrial equipment, scientific systems, capital equipment, or high-value technical solutions;
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategic accounts and secure large-scale contracts;
- Strong experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes;
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills;
- Ability to engage effectively with engineers, scientists, program managers, procurement teams, and executive leadership;
- Knowledge of aerospace, defense, advanced materials, research laboratories, or related markets is a significant asset;
- U.S. citizenship required; active or recent security clearance is considered a strong asset;
- Self-motivated, organized, results-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-growing environment;
- Excellent English communication skills; French is considered an asset;
- Strong proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools;
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout the United States.
