Job Description
Fusion Auto Workz Ltd. is seeking an experienced Auto Body Technician / Bodyman to join our collision repair team in Vancouver, BC. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing structural and non-structural collision repairs and restoring damaged vehicles to manufacturer and industry repair standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural and non-structural collision repairs.
- Remove, repair and replace damaged body panels and components.
- Perform dent repairs and metal finishing.
- Perform welding and panel replacement as required.
- Measure and straighten vehicle body and structural components using appropriate repair equipment.
- Inspect vehicle damage and determine appropriate repair procedures.
- Follow OEM repair procedures and industry repair standards.
- Disassemble and reassemble vehicle components as required during collision repairs.
- Use hand tools, power tools and body repair equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Work with estimators, painters and other technicians to complete repairs efficiently.
- Perform quality checks before vehicles proceed to the next stage of repair.
Requirements
- Previous experience as an Auto Body Technician, Collision Repair Technician, Bodyman or similar position.
- Good knowledge of automotive collision repair procedures.
- Experience with panel replacement, metal repair, welding and structural/body repairs.
- Ability to use automotive body repair tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and follow repair procedures.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education: Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
Wage: $40.00 per hour
Hours: 35-40 hours per week
