Shipping & Receiving Associate — Part-Time, Tuesdays to Thursdays, 9–5
Wallace Mercantile Shop is a Vancouver boutique with a busy online business. We're hiring one detail-oriented person to run our shipping and receiving three days a week — Tuesday to Thursday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. As we grow, there's potential for this role to expand to five days a week.
Every order that leaves our door and every delivery that comes in passes through your hands. Some days lean toward packing and shipping orders; others toward unpacking, counting, and tagging a new season's delivery. It's tangible, well-organized work in a small team where what you do is visible.
What you'll be doing
- Picking, packing, and shipping online orders
- Preparing shipping labels and customs paperwork for international deliveries
- Receiving new inventory and checking it against purchase orders
- Tagging, steaming, and packing new product
- Processing inventory transfers and helping with counts
- Keeping the warehouse clean, organized, and running smoothly
- Pitching in with whatever else the team needs
What we're looking for
- Genuine attention to detail — accuracy matters more than speed
- Someone organized who can work independently once trained
- Comfortable picking up new software (we'll teach you our systems)
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs and be on your feet for most of a shift
- Consistent availability Tuesday through Thursday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
Shipping, receiving, warehouse, or retail stockroom experience is a plus, as is any familiarity with Shopify or international carriers — but we'll train the right person.
Schedule and pay
Tuesday to Thursday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm — 24 hours a week, with the potential to grow to five days as the business does. $18.25–$22.00 per hour, depending on relevant experience.
