Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Body Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in automotive repair, a strong understanding of mechanical systems, and proficiency with various hand and power tools. This role involves repairing, restoring, and maintaining vehicle bodies to ensure safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. Prior dealership experience and mechanic background are highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Perform body repairs on a variety of vehicle makes and models, including dent removal, panel replacement, and frame straightening
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble vehicle components
- Conduct inspections to identify damages and determine appropriate repair procedures
- Use heavy lifting techniques safely to move vehicle parts or entire vehicles as needed
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Collaborate with team members to complete repairs efficiently and accurately
Requirements
- Proven dealership or automotive repair experience preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle body systems
- Proficiency with hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and hammers
- Experience using power tools for bodywork tasks
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely (heavy lifting required)
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Prior mechanic experience is highly desirable
