Job Description
We are seeking compassionate and skilled Community Support Workers to join a dedicated 2:1 support team in Hagersville, Haldimand County. This role supports a 13 yr old male with ADHD, intellectual delay, and complex behavioural needs in the home and community.
You will play a key role in creating a safe, structured, consistent and supportive environment that promotes emotional well-being, independence, and positive daily routines. This position is ideal for professionals who are calm, consistent, and passionate about person-centred care.
Hours:
- School days: 3:00pm-8:00pm
- Non-school days (PA days, holidays): 8:00am-8:00pm or 9:00am-9:00pm
What You’ll Do
- Provide consistent individualized support in a respectful, person-centred manner
- Implement an individualized Behaviour Support Plan
- Support emotional regulation, communication, and daily living skills
- Accurately collect and document behavioural data
- Use positive behaviour support strategies to reduce challenging behaviours
- Maintain a calm, safe, consistent and predictable environment
- Engage in meaningful daily activities that build independence and confidence
- Work collaboratively with the family and clinical team
- Personal care when required
Required Skills:
- Experience working with high needs young males
- Experience supporting individuals with complex behavioural, mental health needs
- Knowledge of positive behaviour support (ABA experience an asset)
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Experience working with families
- Reliable, professional, and committed to team-based care
- CPI certification required
- First Aid & CPR required
- Vulnerable Police Check required
- Valid drivers licence and reliable vehicle required
