Our Mission
At The Runner's Academy, we're raising the bar for runner-focused healthcare. We empower athletes of all levels with expert knowledge, personalized treatment plans, and genuine enthusiasm to help them move better, feel better, and pursue their goals with confidence, longevity, and joy.
About Us
Founded in 2014 with a vision to revolutionize runner-focused care, we've built a thriving multidisciplinary team of movement specialists. Following our successful expansion to Hamilton in 2024 and our brand-new downtown Toronto clinic at Wellington & Portland in 2026, we are growing rapidly alongside a vibrant running community. Our bright, centrally located facilities feature fully equipped gyms bathed in natural light, designed for active, movement-based rehab.
The Opportunity
We are seeking passionate, growth-minded Physiotherapists to join our teams across our two Toronto locations. We have an immediate need for an orthopaedic-focused clinician, and have a fantastic opportunity to integrate pelvic health into our practice. A dual focus would be an asset, but not a requirement.
Whether you are looking to plant roots at a single location or split time across the city, this role offers the perfect blend of clinical excellence, collaborative practice, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Exceptional Care: Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for runners and active individuals of all levels.
- Active Rehab: Apply evidence-based techniques including manual therapy, movement analysis, exercise prescription, and running gait analysis. (Acupuncture and pelvic health internal assessment/treatment are great bonuses, but not a requirement).
- Collaboration: Actively participate and collaborate within our multidisciplinary team of physios, osteopaths, and coaches.
- Community Connection: Build relationships with local running groups, coaches, and healthcare providers, and contribute to the community through occasional race support, workshops, and events.
- Professional Growth: Participate in regular mentorship and work alongside your Clinic Director to set personal development goals and growth targets.
Qualifications & Ideal Qualities
- Current physiotherapy license in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
- Valid professional liability insurance.
- A Passion for Movement: You don't need elite running credentials—just a genuine enthusiasm for helping people find joy in movement. We will provide all the specialized running assessment training and resources you need.
- Growth Mindset: An eagerness to learn, expand your clinical knowledge, and thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: An interest in practice development and building lasting community roots.
What We Offer
- Competitive Compensation: An attractive, rewarding fee-split structure.
- Industry-Leading Mentorship: Learn directly from experienced clinicians specializing in running science, including FCAMPT physios, Olympians, and a diverse multidisciplinary team.
- An Incredible Caseload: Work with a highly motivated clientele who genuinely value your expertise and are fully committed to their recovery and performance goals.
- Diverse Pathways: Opportunities to expand your role into community leadership, specialized programming, or clinical education as we grow.
