Role Overview
We are seeking a versatile, outgoing individual to join our team in a hybrid capacity. This unique role blends Pro Shop operations with Food & Beverage service, making you the primary point of contact for our golfers. From the moment a guest arrives to check in for their tee time until they grab a post-round refreshment, you will ensure they have a seamless and premium experience.
Key Responsibilities
Pro Shop & Golf Operations
- The First Impression: Enthusiastically greet golfers upon arrival and provide a professional check-in process.
- Tee Sheet Management: Manage daily tee times, handle phone inquiries, and ensure a smooth flow of play.
- Sales & Retail: Process transactions for green fees, power carts, and pro shop merchandise.
- Course Knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of course rates, membership options, and daily playing conditions to answer guest questions accurately.
Food & Beverage Service
- Guest Hospitality: Provide high-quality food and beverage service with a sincere and friendly attitude.
- Menu Expertise: Maintain full knowledge of the food and drink menu, including daily specials and allergens.
- Health & Safety: Maintain all equipment and work environments in strict accordance with provincial health codes and sanitation standards.
Daily Operations
- Financial Integrity: Accurately handle cash and card transactions, ensuring all end-of-day reconciliations are balanced.
- Facility Care: Complete opening/closing duties and daily cleaning checklists to keep the Pro Shop and dining areas pristine.
- Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced environment, pivoting between retail and hospitality tasks as guest volume shifts.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Certification: Valid Smart Serve certification is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service or serving role is preferred.
- Attitude: An outgoing, "hospitality-first" personality with a knack for multitasking.
- Tech Savvy: Ability to learn Point of Sale (POS) and tee-sheet management software quickly.
- Physicality: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs (e.g., cases of beverages or golf bags).
- Availability: Flexible schedule required, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
