Kennedy Ford is a family-owned and operated Ford dealership located in Oakville, Ontario. We are looking for a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Sales Assistant to join our Sales Department on a part-time basis.
This role will provide administrative and operational support to help ensure the department runs efficiently. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate vehicle inventory and online listings, assisting management with administrative tasks, coordinating with our lot staff, and supporting a variety of day-to-day responsibilities within the Sales Department.
No two days are exactly the same. We're looking for someone who is proactive, adaptable, and enjoys stepping in wherever needed to support the team.
Schedule
- Monday to Thursday
- 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays off
- Approximately 28 hours per week
This position is primarily based indoors, with occasional time spent outdoors coordinating with our lot staff, verifying inventory, and ensuring our vehicles are merchandised to dealership standards.
Responsibilities:
Vehicle Inventory & Merchandising
- Maintain accurate vehicle listings across our dealership website and online platforms.
- Add new vehicle inventory and promptly remove sold units.
- Ensure pricing, specifications, incentives, and vehicle information are accurate and up to date.
- Coordinate with our lot staff to ensure all vehicles are properly photographed and merchandised.
- Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of dealership demo vehicles.
- Keep the Sales Department informed of new vehicle arrivals and inventory updates.
Administrative Support
- Assist management with administrative tasks and special projects.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and other documents as required.
- Coordinate with vendors for dealership signage, promotional materials, apparel, and other operational needs.
- Assist with basic computer setup and minor technology troubleshooting for new employees.
Sales Department Support
- Provide general administrative support to the Sales Department.
- Assist with a variety of day-to-day departmental responsibilities.
- Support additional projects and responsibilities as required.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will:
- Be organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Have excellent communication, spelling, and grammar skills.
- Be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Be comfortable learning new software and dealership systems.
- Be able to work independently while contributing as part of a team.
- Hold a valid Ontario Class G driver's licence with a clean driving abstract.
- Be comfortable driving and moving dealership vehicles as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Automotive dealership experience.
- Experience maintaining vehicle inventory or online vehicle listings.
- Experience using dealership software or CRM systems.
- Basic photography or image editing experience.
