Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure that all areas are kept in excellent condition, promoting a healthy and welcoming environment for staff and visitors. Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas
- Conduct commercial cleaning to meet health and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of offices, hallways, lobbies, and other designated spaces
- Assist with basic facilities maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, minor repairs, and reporting larger issues to management
- Ensure cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning and maintenance activities to prevent accidents or injuries
- Adhere to established schedules for cleaning routines to ensure timely completion of duties
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning or custodial work is preferred; experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is a plus
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals safely
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work
- Good physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following safety procedures
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential for maintaining facility standards
