Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Structural Welder for the Afternoon Shift to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling structural components used in construction, industrial, and architectural projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and welding expertise, ensuring all work meets safety standards and quality specifications. Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements and assembly procedures.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) and Flux Core welding on various metals, ensuring precision and adherence to safety standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and press brake machines to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
- Execute rigging tasks to position heavy structural elements safely during fabrication and installation.
- Operate cranes and forklifts to move materials efficiently within the workspace.
- Measure components accurately using calipers and basic math skills to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Conduct quality inspections of welds and assemblies using schematics, calipers, and other measuring devices.
- Assist with machining tasks when necessary to prepare parts for welding or assembly.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members on construction or manufacturing projects involving ductwork or structural frameworks.
Skills
- Proven experience in structural welding with proficiency in MIG and TIG and Flux Core welding techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes, machinery, and tools.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with rigging procedures, crane operation, and forklift handling.
- Competence in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and schematics.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise fabrication.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes including assembly of structural components.
- Experience with ductwork installation or construction projects is a plus.
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and follow detailed instructions reliably.
- Good communication skills coupled with a safety-conscious mindset.

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
