Full Job Description
Flamboro Technical Services (FTS), is a custom stainless steel fabrication shop that caters to the food manufacturing and packing sectors. We are looking to add a day shift and an afternoon shift CNC machinist to our growing team.
As a CNC machinist you will be Reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor or shift lead hand.
The hours for the position are based on a rotating 4 day 10 hour day shift schedule- which will be either Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday (6AM TO 4:30 PM)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION
· Working on various types of equipment
· Meet outline deadlines
· setup and prove out first off parts with minimal supervision
· first off inspection using applicable measuring devices
-Able to set up weldments for machining
· Choose the proper tools and equipment for the task using set up sheets
· Work in team environment
· Operation of CNC mill and lathe
· Use of various hand tools
· Lifting up to 50lb
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
· High school diploma required
· Red Seal Certification of Qualifications an asset
· Minimum 2 years machining experience in relevant manufacturing environment
· Job shop machining experience is an asset
· Excellent problem solving abilities
· Competent in manual and CNC turning and milling
· Ability to follow written instructions
· Positive attitude with strong work ethics, open minded is a must
· blueprint reading and GD & T an asset
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00-$36.00 per hour
