We are currently seeking an E-Learning Specialist. In this role you will design, develop and deliver remarkable online learning experiences through company-wide training programs, to grow, excel and inspire our people. You will Implement successful end to end blended and online learning experiences to drive organizational performance and support business results across the family of companies and adapt and evolve to the needs of our business, analyze, and respond to learners needs.
Responsible for planning, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating education programs and training modules using a variety of learning modalities.
Works in a collaborative team environment that includes training specialists, instructional and multimedia designers.
Works with key stakeholders to develop quality online and blended learning courses.
Supports strategic planning initiatives through needs analysis, performance analysis, competency assessment, problem solving, change management, education and training, group facilitation and project management.
Collaborates with other team members to refine and utilize and enhance online learning to support project outcomes.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices with current and most effective learning development approaches and strategies
Ensure highest level of quality of training is delivered
Develop and deliver training solutions that align with HR, learning and business strategies
Education and Experience:
Education in a related field plus five (5) years of recent, , related experience in instructional and online design or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Applies comprehensive knowledge and skill in educational theory, research, technology and related best practices as well as an understanding of online learning disciplines and to support and enhance educational practices.
Uses superior group facilitation, team building, negotiating, conflict resolution skills and an interactive teaching style to engage learners with a variety of different learning styles and facilitate critical thinking and problem resolution.
Fosters creativity and innovation in development and design of teaching and learning products.
Displays comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and methodologies and ability to work on multiple projects at once.
Applies superior written communication abilities and proficient computer skills in the design and composition of creative high quality, interactive learning materials.
Superior process design applied in the design and development of learning and development initiatives.
Design and develop instructor led, eLearning, and blended courses:
Develop project plans for training program development
Perform skill/competency task analysis
Determine specific learning objectives
Write and sequence learning objectives
Develop materials to support training programs (i.e. lesson plans, activities, eLearning modules, etc.)
Develop evaluation measures
Develop new ways to make courses and instructional media delivery more effective, efficient, and beneficial to a diverse employee population
Develop standardized curricula format and templates for course material and facilitators guides.
Provide expertise in adapting current curricula to alternative delivery channels such as e-learning, self-study packages, virtual, etc.
Adapt instructional materials created for one format to another format (for example, adapting materials designed for instructor-led training to e-learning
Create media to support learning including images, screen videos, and graphics
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes for this Role:
Understanding of learning models (ADDIE, Kirkpatrick, etc…)
Multi-media development skills –Articulate Storyline, Captivate, and rapid development software. Video and photography experience would be nice to have
Proficient with Photoshop, Illustrator, Wordpress, and other visual design tools
Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Proven ability to develop engaging and effective training programs
Instructional design experience –ask for a portfolio including storyboards and course examples
End-to-end course development experience
Project management and ability to manage multiple projects
