Schedule: Monday to Friday, starting at 5:00 AM
We are currently hiring an experienced DZ Driver to join our Drywall Division in Markham. This position involves operating a flatbed truck, delivering drywall and related materials, and safely loading, securing, and transporting materials to job sites.
Moffett forklift experience is an asset but is not mandatory. Candidates without Moffett experience will be considered and training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Operate a DZ-class flatbed truck safely and professionally
- Transport and deliver drywall and construction materials
- Load, strap, secure, and inspect materials before transportation
- Perform manual loading and unloading of materials, with lifting requirements of up to 100 lbs
- Maintain accurate daily log books and required transportation records
- Conduct routine vehicle and load safety checks
- Ensure all loads are properly secured and compliant with safety requirements
- Operate a Moffett-mounted forklift to load and unload materials when required
- Follow all company safety procedures and applicable transportation regulations
- Provide professional and courteous service at delivery locations
- Assist with general material handling duties as required
Requirements
- Valid DZ driver's licence
- Previous experience driving a flatbed truck
- Experience with load securement, including straps and tie-downs
- Ability to lift and handle materials weighing up to 100 lbs
- Ability to complete daily log books accurately
- Good understanding of safe driving and load-handling practices
- Reliable attendance and punctuality, with the ability to start at 5:00 AM
- Good physical condition and ability to perform manual labour
