We are seeking an Assistant to the Building Manager for a part-time, in-person position located in Nelson. Pay is set at $25 per hour, and is expected to begin September 14.
This new role will report to and support the Building Manager with day-to-day building operations, tenant-related processes, maintenance coordination, and general administrative duties.
The Building Manager oversees building and facilities management and maintenance, tenant recruitment and selection, tenant questions and concerns, and the upkeep of physical assets and grounds. The Building Manager conducts inspections of units, ensures compliance with all applicable codes and regulations, manages rent collection, deals with contractors and suppliers, and maintains spending within budget limits.
We are looking for someone with:
° Experience in property management, facilities coordination, or a related role.
° Strong organizational and communication skills, with a friendly and professional approach to working with tenants and contractors.
° Basic knowledge of building maintenance processes and contractor coordination is an asset.
° Willingness to learn the processes in place and in cooperation with the Building Manager.
° Ability to be on call, and work on a flexible 20 hour per week schedule.
