Responsibilities
- Design and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to support children's progress and well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of children's development, attendance, and daily activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum enhancements and participate in ongoing professional development.
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized assistance.
- Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies.
- Use computer skills to document student progress, prepare reports, and communicate with families via digital platforms.
Qualifications
✔ BC Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate
✔ Current First Aid & CPR Certification
✔ 2–3 Years Experience in Licensed Childcare
✔ Three Professional References

Skills
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual proficiency in French is a strong asset.
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Experience working with children in classroom settings or childcare environments.
- Familiarity with special education strategies and working with individuals with disabilities.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and classroom management skills.
- Effective organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Proficiency in computer operation, including basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.
- Strong writing skills for report writing and documentation purposes.
